Krish is an Associate and leads the Salerno Law Cryptocurrency Team. With significant experience in Commercial, Fintech and Financial Services Law, in Australia and overseas, Krish brings a highly commercial and practical approach to his clients.

Since his admission in 2016, Krish has worked in both private practice and in-house, for national financial services and technology organisations. He has advised financial services organisations, fintech payment providers and lending businesses on key issues such as financial licensing, AML/CTF, responsible lending, regulatory compliance and negotiated complex international deals with technology and payment companies, such as Visa and Mastercard.

Having been involved in the cryptocurrency space since its early adoption, Krish is passionate about the evolving nature of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, its potential in revolutionising the traditional financial ecosystem and their application in everyday life. He understands the intricate, yet ambiguous, nature of cryptocurrencies including the various structuring, classifications and regulatory framework.

Prior to joining Salerno Law, Krish co-founded DayTek Capital, a Queensland based Financial Services/Fintech company, which was granted an AFS licence in approximately six months. The company developed a range of innovative banking products and services in both the fiat money and cryptocurrency space. The business was acquired by two international investment firms.

Krish is passionate about the development of the fintech and startup ecosystem, having assisted the Bond University’s Transformer Program and Queensland University of Technology’s Business and Entrepreneurship Program by providing mentoring and guidance to start-ups and founders at both Universities. He currently sits on a number of for-profits and not-for-profit boards providing strategy, corporate governance and risk guidance.

Krish holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Bond University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. He is admitted to practice in Queensland, the High Court of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
