Cliff has been involved in some of the most complex personal injury litigation claims recently brought in Australia. This includes a recent NSW Court of Appeal matter which involved a brain injury to a patron of a Bondi hotel. In addition, being instructed in a high-profile fatal aviation matter which is proceeding through the Federal Court.

Our team have been instructed in numerous matters following the findings of the Royal Commission into institutional abuse and this has involved advising clients in proceedings brought in the NSW and WA Supreme Court.

Advising an Australian Supermarket retailer as to their portfolio of personal injury claims. This included advising at all stages of the claim and where appropriate seeking an early and cost-effective settlement at either an informal settlement conference or mediation.

Acted for plaintiff in a Catholic Church sexual abuse case obtaining a successful negotiated outcome prior to receiving a final judgment in Court.

Appearing for and advising entities such as fitness centres, sporting clubs, theme parks, not for profit organisations and local councils in relation to all types of compensation claims brought against them.

Acting for a holiday company based in Australia in relation to all claims brought by its Australian and New Zealand customers when injured at overseas resorts. This included advising for incidents occurring in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Advising overseas insurers as to claims brought in the Australian courts. This included advising a France based insurer as to a Plaintiff who was allegedly severely injured when she slipped on a flooring product imported into Australia and installed into a hotel venue.

Advising both operators and individuals involved in aviation related personal injury claims. This included providing advice under the Civil Aviation Act 1988 and commencing/defending proceedings in the Federal Court.
